Ans. (i) Bihu is the harvesting festival of Assam.
(ii) It is celebrated on 14th and 15th January.
(iii) The first day of the festival is called Uruka, and on that day people build a temporary shed known as Bhela Ghar and have a community feast.
(iv) On the next day Mezi and Bhela Ghar is lit.
(ii) Mid-day meal.
Ans. It is a school meal programme in India. It provides freshly cooked nutritious food to all government and government aided schools in India. In 2001, the Supreme Court of India gave an important decision. All children upto elementary school should be provided with hot, cooked food. This is the right of every child.
(iii) Bhela Ghar
Ans. Bhela Ghar is a temporary shed made of grass and bamboo. It is made on the occasion of Bihu. Next day it is put to fire along with Mezi.
