Ans.  Kunjamma gave everyone dates to eat.

(iii) How do people living in Abu Dhabi protect themselves from the heat?

Ans. People in Abu Dhabi live inside air-conditioned rooms, wear cotton clothes. They keep themselves fully covered. They even cover their head to protect themselves from the heat.

(iv) Chittappan said the 'In fact, petrol is cheaper than water.' Why did he say so?

Ans. He said so because in Abu Dhabi there are oil fields so petrol is cheap there. Also, the place is covered with sand so there is no water there. That is why petrol is cheaper than water in Abu Dhabi.

What differences were given by Chittappan and Kunjamma about greenery, rain etc. between Abu Dhabi and Kerala.

Ans. In Abu Dhabi there is almost no rain and no water bodies like rivers, lakes and ponds while in Kerala it rains frequently. In Abu Dhabi only one kind of tree is found that is date palm while in Kerala there are coconut trees, banana trees, jackfruit, papaya and betelnut etc. In Abu Dhabi the weather is hot and dry while in Kerala it is hot and humid.
